Confirmation
The number one goal of confirmation is: youth will have lifelong faith. After the Holy Spirit, family is the most important player in faith development. As your child was baptized, you promised to put God’s Word into their hands. Confirmation assists parents and sponsors in keeping that promise and enables the youth to say “Yes, I believe!”
A new year is about to begin!! Our orientation will be Wed. Sept. 7th at 6:00 pm. This meeting is for all 6th, 7th and 8th graders and parents. We will hand out schedules, fill in registration forms, have acolyte training and answer questions. Our plan is to be done at 7:00. At 7:00 we will have a meeting will all the Small Group Leaders. This year we will be studying the First Article of the creeds.
Note to 9th graders: your papers are due September 14th and interviews begin Sept. 22nd. Make sure you sign up for an interview, sign-up sheet is on Pr. Mike’s office door.

Confirmation update
Confirmation is going well; we have nearly 50 students who are eager to learn and we have 10 small-group leaders who are inspired to teach. Our team is strong and working hard to keep improving the program. The complete schedule is on Pastor’s office door and also on the web site. Please note…a parent is required to attend on the dates where it says “bring a parent”. We will be covering issues that are important and sensitive; topics that will help parents and their children talk about tough issues.
Also…if any students (of any grade) did not attend the “How To Read the Bible” retreat they need to talk with Pastor Mike to make it up.
Also… the 7th Grade “Worship” retreat is Saturday, January 8th from 2-4 pm. And the 8th Grade “Discipleship” retreat is Saturday, February 12th from 2-6 pm. If students do not attend they need to make them up.
